2010: In college, nearing the end of the program, a professor emphasized on finding one’s niche as key to launching a career you’ll love  for  a long time. Identifying what specifics you wanted to focus on will set your direction.

She asked everyone in class. One after the other. We heard answers such as “Fashion Photography”, “Nature and Landscapes”, “Wildlife and Animals”, “Products and Advertising” I was certain, confident and calm when I answered clearly with one word: MEN. Then, the room burst into laughter. I laughed with them. It took about a few minutes before the opinions and side comments hushed down. It was a good day at school.

The dream then was to shoot MEN. -with a little of PLUS SIZE FASHION, BEAUTY and STRONG WOMEN. (She trained us to be specific, so I tried to be.)

These are some of the photos from 2011.

The DREAM lives on!

What’s up? Website down, Tumblr up!

Early this year, MA decided to take down her website. -www.mauaguasinphotography.com
Aside from the fact that it needed constant maintenance,  the photos were works from college and two years back.

Eager to keep it updated she commits in updating her Tumblr account from now on.

Besides, other than the previous stress with codes, links and SOPs of this programming-hater, Tumblr seemed to be a smarter choice in posting multimedia  updates anywhere anytime. So expect more photos, videos, texts and links.

She’s looking forward to sharing recent works, upcoming highlights and mind-blowing fun!

MA is back in TUMBLR!

P.S. Upcoming posts coming up as to what has been happening with work since the studio opened December 2011! Note: The first half of 2012 was everything but boring.

By the way, this will be the first and last time MA will write in 3rd person POV. :)

Bisous!
